A Love Letter for You Ally!

Do you know what is so great about June?

For me at least, June is such a special month because it is the month when my community celebrates for their pride and for the one of the most memorable moment in the history of the community - Stonewall riots.

Yes, I am talking about LGBTQIA+ pride month.

However, in this article, I would like to talk about a group of beloved people who are not particularly in LGBTQIA+, but still play an important role in our community. They are called “allies”.

It is true that LGBTQIA+ can evolve from being discriminated to being accepted and celebrated (almost) worldwide like this is because we understand each other’s pain and struggling and fight together to get the right we deserve. However, the allies, the people who might not able to understand how it feel to love someone with the same gender or how it feel to be inside of a male body while having a female heart, but they still accept us and celebrate with us with all their heart. It is like when you do not know how it feel to have autism or ADHD, but you still support the people who have it. I think we are so blessed to have them in our lives.

I want to thank to all of my friends who are the allies. You are so important to me. You make me feel that it is okay to have this form of love. You make me love myself more. You help me grow up and become less afraid to be myself.

I am so glad to have you by my side!

Happy Pride Month!
